Alex and Megan met like any normal millennial couple, online, in November 2022.

Surprising to everyone, Alex made the first move, and after "chatting" for a while, they agreed to meet up, where else, but Texas Roadhouse in Carmel, IN.

Did they or didn't they kiss on the first date?

THEY DID.

They both felt butterflies from the kiss and agreed to a second date.

Circumstances led them to meeting in Lafayette this time. Alex chose a local staple in Megan's life for lunch, Christo's aka The Greenhouse, and browsing through Barnes and Noble.

Alex knew it was for real when Megan spoke to the table next to them to get ketchup for Alex. Megan knew it was for real when Alex didn't limit her book purchasing.

They continued to see each other long distance (if Muncie to Carmel can be considered "long") until February 2023 when Alex bravely moved to Muncie so they wouldn't have to be apart.

Megan and Alex decided to recreate their first dates to celebrate their One Year Anniversary by going to Barnes and Noble and then eating at the Texas Roadhouse in Carmel.

Alex, ignoring Megan's pleas to eat and then shop, walked into Barnes and Noble, found an empty aisle, and dropped to one knee to propose.

Megan was shocked and did her best impression of cartoon jaw hitting the floor until Alex quietly asked for an answer.

Megan said yes, hugged and kissed him, and then Alex asked if Megan wanted to call her Mom.

Alex browsed the book aisles because as he said, "Aren't we getting a book still?"
